Wrestling Wins Two Titles at Kraft Tourney

A little home cooking was the right recipe for the Triton College wrestling team Dec. 8 when they hosted the 23rd Annual Art Kraft Memorial Tournament at the Collins Center. The Trojans earned their first two individual champions of the season as Denzel King, 125, a freshman from York, and Nikko Liotta, 133, a freshman from Mather won their respective weight classes. Both went 4-0 for the day. Travis Fuller (Sandwich) placed 6th at 149.

About : Newell knocked down his first 4 three-point attempts to spark the Trojans to an opening 28-10 run Feb. 1 vs. Madison College. Newell finished with a team-high 16 points as Triton built a 56-26 halftime lead on their way to an easy 86-60 win over the WolfPack.
