Lady Trojans Split Breast Cancer Twin-Bill

The Triton softball team split their traditional home finale against McHenry April 28 which the squad calls "Pitch for the Cure" to promote Breast Cancer Awareness. Both squads wore special pink jerseys for occasion. Triton fell in a heartbreaker 13-11 in the first game. But in game two, Triton was sparked by a pair of two-run homers from Nicolette Lullo and Cassie Cook. But it was Jocelyn Sanchez who drove in the game winning run in the last of the 7th with a single to right to give Triton the victory. The Lady Trojans will visit South Suburban April 30 to open the Region IV playoffs.
