    Hiring Process

    Triton College’s hiring process varies slightly for full- and part-time positions. 
     
    Full-Time Positions
    For each full-time opening in the areas listed below, Triton College establishes a search committee to screen all applications, interview qualified candidates, and recommend a final candidate(s):
    • Administrative
    • Faculty
    • Mid-Management
    • Classified
    • Police
    • Engineer
    For Administrative positions, candidates recommended by the search committee may also be required to interview with the appropriate Vice President, the College President, and/or the Board of Trustees. 
     
    For Faculty positions, all candidates recommended by the search committee must interview with both the Vice President of Academic Affairs and Student Services and the College President.
     
    For Mid-Management positions, candidates recommended by the search committee may also be required to interview with the appropriate Area Administrator and/or Vice President.
     
    For Classified, Police, and Engineer positions, candidates recommended by the search committee may also be required to interview with the appropriate Area Administrator.
     
    Upon verification of the final candidate’s qualifications and credentials, the candidate is submitted to the Board of Trustees for approval.
     
    Part-Time Positions
    For part-time positions, the appropriate Area Supervisor reviews all applications, interviews qualified candidates, and recommends a final candidate(s). An Area Administrator may also interview the candidate(s). Upon verifying the final candidate’s qualifications and credentials, the Area Supervisor/Administrator submits the candidate to the board of Trustees for approval.
