COLLEGE COUNCIL FUNCTIONAL COMMITTEES
Five standing committees of the College Council represent the five major functional areas of the college: Academic, Student Affairs, Business Services, Diversity Affairs, and Human Resources. The committees assume the institutional planning function and provide critical support to the College Council in its presidential advising role. 

The Chairs of the Functional Committees report regularly to the College Council, and report directly to the president as requested. The committees function as the primary source of information and expertise about their respective functional areas and provide direct support to the College Council in its institutional planning and presidential advising functions. In that capacity, the committees may periodically be assigned specific tasks relating to their respective functional areas. Finally, the committees serve as a primary and proactive conduit of information between the President and the College Council, and the individuals working in, and served by, the functional areas that they respectively represent.
