Naumoff's School Record Four Goals Lifts Triton Past South Suburban

Sophomore Natalia Naumoff recorded the first-ever hat-trick for the women's soccer program as the Lady Trojans cruised to a 5-1 season opening win vs. South Suburban College. Naumoff scored all four of her goals in the first half as Triton dominated the rain shortened contest. Mayra Garcia added the final Lady Trojan goal. Amanda Kostic and Alma Barajas each had a pair of assists. Sophomore Joana Torres also added an assist for Triton.

Triton Offense Cools Off vs. Waubonsee

The Lady Trojans had to travel to Sugar Grove to take on Waubonsee for a 10 a.m. start Saturday morning due to the field conditions in River Grove after week long rains made the field unplayable. The Chiefs scored a first half goal as Triton was unable to muster much of an offense in a 1-0 lost. Goalie Lauren La Puma stopped 16 other shots and the defense stymied several quality chances. The Lady Trojans worked hard the full 90 minutes and the game was not decided until the horn sounded as Triton had two corner kicks in the last minute of play but could not get a shot off.

Lady Trojans Unable to Slow Down C.O.D.

The Lady Trojans were unable to contain the high powered Chaparrals from the College of DuPage as they were outscored 7-0 in the first half of play. Natalia Naumoff was credited with Triton’s only goal after the ball struck a C.O.D. defensive player before going in the net and the Chaparrals added two more tallies in the second half to make the final 9-1. Naumoff had one other shot on goal along with Amanda Kostic and freshman Emilita Stanil was credited with three shots on goal. Goalie Lauren La Puma stopped 14 other shots on goal.

Triton Gets Back to .500 By Blanking Prairie State

The Lady Trojans got back on the winning track as they defeated the Pioneers of Prairie State 7-0. Triton (2-2) was led by co-captain Amanda Kostic, who scored two goals and hit the post twice among her other five shots on goal and Orki Vera who scored her first two goals as a Lady Trojan. The other goals were scored by Megan Chillemi who also posted an assist and two other shots on goal, Mayra Garcia (one assist & four shots on goal) and Joanna Torres (one assist three shots on goal). The offensive explosion also included Gabby Moreno (one assist & two shots on goal) and Alma Barajas who also hit the post off a dead ball kick and added two shots on goal. The entire team came out ready to play and led 5-0 after one half of play. The defense was solid and allowed the Pioneers only three shots on goal that were all handled by keeper Lauren La Puma who recorded her second shut-out of the young season.

Harper's Big First Half Too Much for Triton to Overcome

The Hawks exploded for six goals in the first 45 minutes and added two more in the second half. The only goal for the Lady Trojans came in the 89th minute when Amanda Kostic scored on a perfect set-up by Natalia Naumoff who also had two shots on goal along with one each from Mayra Garcia and Alma Barajas. Lauren La Puma was under pressure all day and stopped nine other chances by the Hawks.

Triton's Second Half Rally vs. Morton Falls Short

The Lady Trojans staged a gallant comeback after spotting the visiting Panthers from Morton a 3-0 lead after the first 45 minutes of play. Triton scored three times to even the score by the 65th minute of play but the valiant effort fell short as Morton tallied three more time to make the final 6-3. The Lady Trojan goals were scored by Natalia Naumoff, Mayra Garcia and Amanda Kostic who also picked up an assist along with Alma Barajas and Joanna Torres. Katheeen Houk had a shot on goal as did Alma Barajas, Naumoff and Garcia. Lauren La Puma stopped 16 other shots from the Panthers.

Lady Trojans Earn First Ever N4C Win at Joliet

Triton earned their first ever North Central Community College Conference victory in the programs history with a 3-0 win at Joliet. The Lady Trojans were led by co-captain and leading scorer Natalia Naumoff who scored twice and picked up an assist along with three other shots on goal. Mayra Garcia also scored and added an assist while hitting the post once and one other shot on goal. Alma Barajas had two shots on goal and Megan Chillemi also had one. All three goals were scored in the first half of play. Lauren La Puma stopped all 12 shots fired at her in recording the shut-out.

Naumoff Powers Triton Past Daley

The Lady Trojans made it two consecutive road wins and evened their record at 4-4 when they traveled to Chicago to play the Bulldogs from Daley College. Triton's leading scorer Natalia Naumoff scored a pair of first half goals to lead the Lady Trojans to a 2-1 victory. Naumoff, who now has 10 goals on the season added seven other shots on goal, including hitting the post. Amanda Kostic and Mayra Garcia each picked up an assist. Garcia also had two shots on goal. Alma Barajas had three shots on goal, Meagan Chillemi had two and Joana Torres added one. Lauren La Puma stopped seven other shots fired at her.

Triton Gets Blanked by DuPage

The Lady Trojans were shut-out 7-0 by the nationally rank Chaparrals from the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. Triton had five shots on goal including two by Natalia Naumpff and one each from Orki Vera, Alma Barajas and Megan Chillemi. Lauren La Puma stopped 17 shots in net.

Lady Trojans Can't Find the Net Against Lake County

The Lady Trojans were shut-out for the second straight game, this time to the College of Lake County by a 3-0 score in River Grove. Triton managed seven shots on goal two each by Natalia Naumoff, Alma Barajas and Mayra Garcia. Megan Chillemi also registered a shot on goal. Kathleen Houk filled in at goal for an ill Lauren La Puma and stopped 16 shots.

Harper Shuts Out Triton

The Lady Trojans were shut-out in River Grove by the Hawks from Harper College 6-0. Alma Barajas had two shots on goal for Triton off dead ball kicks and Amanda Kostic had one. Goalie Kathleen Houk stopped 14 other shots in net.

Lady Trojans Settle for Tie at Moraine Valley

The Lady Trojans bounced back from a tough week to tie Moraine Valley 2-2. However, Triton was in position to win in regulation and let a 2-0 advantage slip away. The Lady Trojans led 1-0 at the half on a goal by Alma Barajas unassisted on a direct kick just outside the penalty box. In the 60th minute, Natalia Naumoff scored on an assist from Joanna Torres to put Triton up 2-0. Unfortunately, Moraine Valley rallied with a pair of goals the final 15 minutes to earn the draw. Goalie Lauren La Puma returned to the line-up after being out with the flu and made 14 saves. Triton also had strong defensive play from Kathleen Houk. Offensively, Naumoff had six shots on goal for the Lady Trojans. Barajas and Amanda Kostic each had two shot on goal.

The Lady Trojans totally dominated the visiting Eagles form Robert Morris as the final score 7-0 would indicate. The offense was led by sophomores and co-captains Natalia Naumoff and Amanda Kostic. Naumoff recorded her second hat trick of the year with three goals and an assist along with three other shots on goal before taken over in goal for the final 35 minutes. Meanwhile, Kostic had two goals, an assist and two shots on goal. Orki Vera and Mayra Garcia each scored a goal. Alma Barajas had an assist and one shot on goal. Megan Chillemi added three shots on goal while Elizabeth Walton registered her first shot on goal. Lauren La Puma stopped all four shots fired at her during her 55 minutes of work in the net. Triton is within a game of .500 at 6-7-1 with two games two left in the regular season.
