RSVP annual Pancake Breakfast to complement circus family fun on April 10

The Triton Troupers Circus proves that you’re never too young or too old to enjoy the circus – or participate in one! The Triton Troupers Circus returns for its annual show from April 10-12 on Triton College’s main campus in River Grove.

Expect an explosive, daring show that will provide fun for the whole family, featuring such circus acts as tightrope walking, trampoline, stunts, cycling, juggling, the gymwheel, trapeze, teeterboard, stilt walking and clowns.

The show’s director Terry White, of Belvidere, celebrates his 37th year with the show and his 15th year as director. White, who was a gymnast in the 1970’s, believes in cultivating a person’s talent by letting them take on an act they find an interest in learning. “I believe that if I give someone the opportunity to do something that they’ll do something good with it,” he said.

The Triton Troupers are composed of nearly 100 members from Cook, DuPage, Kane and Boone counties who all have a passion for circus arts.

The show will take place in the Robert M. Collins Gymnasium, in the R-Building, on Triton’s campus located at 2000 Fifth Ave. in River Grove.

Showtimes are 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, April 10-12; and 1 p.m. Saturday, April 12. Saturday’s 1 p.m. show will be interpreted for the hearing impaired by the Center for Students with Disabilities of Triton College. Doors open an hour before the shows.

Tickets are $6 (no debit or credit cards accepted) and available at the door. For more information about the circus, call (708) 456-0300, Ext. 3383, or visit http://tritontrouperscircus.com.
