Certificate in Spanish Language Interpretation

The need for Spanish language interpreters is expected to continue to experience growth for the foreseeable future. To meet this growing need Triton College's Department of Continuing Education in now offering a Certificate in Spanish Language Interpretation.

The certification covers three major categories,in four semesters; Legal Proceedings, Medical Situations I and II and school/educational situations.

The next class in the series is SOC E18 01 Spanish Interpreter Training - Legal Settings. This class will be offered beginning Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Triton College, 6:30-9:30 p.m. The class meets every Tuesday thereafter finishing on July 30, 2013.

The certification requires the completion of four classes, SOC E18 Spanish Interpreter Training - Legal Settings, SOC E19 Spanish Interpreter Training - School Settings, SOC E20 Spanish Interpreter Training - Medical Settings I and SOC E21 Medical Settings II. Certification is awarded upon completion of all four classes. Classes do not have to be taken in order.

IMPORTANT! Students must be completely fluent in BOTH English AND Spanish to register for this class.
