Graduation

Graduation Requirements and Procedures
There are so many benefits to obtaining a degree or certificate and you deserve the opportunity to be recognized for it. Triton grants the Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Applied Science, Associate in General Studies as well as the Career Certificate and the Advanced Career Certificate.

Students who complete a degree or certificate program without interruption must satisfy the requirements specified in the college catalog for the year in which they first enrolled. If degree or certificate requirements are changed after enrollment, the student may choose to satisfy the new requirements. If you wish to change your catalog year and/or program, please do so immediately with the Records Office. This will ensure that the correct coursework is displayed on your record for academic planning.

Those who re-enroll after withdrawal from the college for at least one year must satisfy the requirements specified in the catalog for the year in which they re-enter.

Students are encouraged to meet with their program specific counselor to determine if they have met the necessary requirements and/or to finalize a detailed list of courses needed to complete their degree/certificate program.

A degree, career certificate, or advanced certificate is not automatically conferred upon completion of curriculum requirements. Concentrations will not be listed on the diploma for Associate in Arts and Associate in Science programs.

All candidates must:

1.

Have a high school transcript on file with the Records Office prior to graduation.

2.

Earn a minimum 2.0 grade point average at the time of graduation.

3.

Complete an Application for Graduation via your MyTriton portal at https://www.triton.edu/mytriton/.
