Dual Credit Opportunities

The Dual Credit Program stems from an agreement that had been developed between Triton Community College and Des Plaines Valley Region (DVR) high schools in order to provide a myriad of opportunities to high school students of all grade levels. Currently the Dual Credit Program has three distinct components and each one has different requirements.

Earn Triton credit for certain high school classes when you enroll with Triton College!
The Articulated Credit Program originated from a parternship between Triton College, the College of Dupage, and Des Plaines Valley Region high school. For specific courses taken at your high school, you can earn proficiency credit at Triton credit when you enroll with Triton College!
Earn both college and high school credit without having to leave your high school!
The Dual Credit: High School Campus Program is open to academically talented high school students who are currently enrolled in, or are interested in taking, AP (Advanced Placement) courses, at your high school. Not only could you receive high school credit for your class, but you may be able to receive Triton College credit without ever having to attend Triton!
- To be a part of the DC:HS Program you must be a high school student, complete Triton's Placement Exam, or have qualifying ACT scores and have a minimum of a "C" grade in the course in order for credit to be rewarded.

Take a class at Triton and get, not only, college credit, but high school credit as well!
The Dual Credit: Triton Campus (DC:TC) Program is open to high school students, allowing them to attend select classes here at Triton College, where they will not only receive college credit, but high school credit as well. Coursework offered only during the Fall and Spring semesters. Upon entrance into the program students must take Triton's Placement Exam. To provide this opportunity Triton College has worked with Des Plaines Valley Region high schools to offer over 60 different courses in 14 different programs.
Participating schools are:
- East & West Leyden High School, Proviso East & West High School, Elmwood Park High School, Ridgewood High School, Oak Park River Forest High School and Riverside Brookfield High School
Depending on the high school, tuition and/or book costs may be covered by the school. Please contact your high school representative for their billing policies regarding the program.
