Alternate Format for Text Materials

Alternate text material services are provided for students whose documentation justifies the need for enlarged text or text read aloud by technology that will allow the student to work to their fullest academic potential.

The procedure for requesting the service of alternate text format are as follows:

  • Request alternate text materials when filling out the CAAS Confidential Data Form. Returning students must fill out a Request for Services form and an Alternate Text Request form each semester at the time of registration.
  • Alternate text requests that require books to be read on tape or CD must be submitted four (4) weeks prior to the first day of class. Requests received later that three weeks may be delayed and may not be available the first day of class.
