Joe Caliendo
Head Softball Coach (3rd Season)

The 2014 season is Joe Caliendo's third year as Head Coach of the Triton College softball team. He has been coaching high level softball for the Lemont Rockers for the last 8 years. Caliendo has won many tournaments and currently coaches the Rockers 18U Gold team. His 18U A team finished 17th out of 127 teams at USA/ASA Nationals in 2010.

Caliendo has guided many young women reach the collegiate D1,D2,D3,NAIA, & JUCO levels. He teaches proper Olympic level mechanics along with the mental preparedness of the game to help his players succeed at a higher level.

  
Prior to his coaching career Joe played organized baseball for 17 years. Outside of softball he has a career in Real Estate for last 20 years. He also works for Veterans Park District as a Crew Chief. Caliendo resides in Melrose Park, Il with his family, where he was born and raised for the last 48 years.

Christina Christopher
Assistant Softball Coach (3rd Season)
 

Christina Christopher enters her third year on the Triton coaching staff serving as the team's pitching coach and recruiting coordinator. Christopher played for the Lady Trojans for the 2010 and 2011 seasons. Her many accomplishments include: 2011 Triton Female Athlete-of-the-Year, 2011 Softball Team Most Valuable Player and 2011 N4C All-Conference and continues to hold the top batting average from her 2010 season with a .507. Christopher has continued her education at Northeastern Illinois University where she is majoring in Physical Education and Sports Management. In addition to her coaching duties at Triton, Christina coaches the Chicago Fireworks Fast Pitch Team. In 2012, the Fireworks placed third at the National Tournament in the 10 and under division!

Assistant Softball Coach
 (1st Season)

Sonia Garcia enters her first year at Triton College working as the team’s infield/outfielder and hitting coach.  Sonia played for the Lady Trojans for the 2011 and 2012 softball seasons.  Among her many accomplishments, including 2012 Softball Team Most Valuable Player, Sonia finished her career at North Park University in Chicago, IL helping the team achieve the top defensive team award in all of the NCAA (Division I, II or III).  Sonia has continued her education at Northeastern Illinois University where she is majoring in Physical Education.  In addition to her coaching duties at Triton, Sonia is the head coach of the Sauganash Storm 12U Fast Pitch Travel Team, 2013-Present.
