ARC E89 Introduction to Architectural CAD (3 AEC)

In this course, students will learn how to use the industry-standard computer-aided design and drafting software, AutoCAD, to produce plans, evaluations and details of architectural drawings for buildings. The command structure of the program, basic drawing techniques, 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional presentation techniques are studied by students. It is assumed that a student has little or no familiarity with computer graphics or drawing techniques prior to taking this class. For course sections numbered 101 and above, the course may be taken for college credit. All lower numbered sections are noncredit only.
