This course incorporates skills and techniques developed in Fashion Illustration I into subject-specific assignments targeted to address each student’s area of interest. Students design a collection in an area of their choice that demonstrates the mastery of both technical and aesthetic skills. Projects will include production of technical flat drawings of garments, and textile pattern design and application. Students examine fashion design within the context of fine art forms and practical commercial design. Mass market, haute couture (high fashion) and lifestyle accessory design, as well as social, historic and aesthetic influences on fashion design are studied. (Recommended for students, ages 14-18.) Prerequisite: MKT E02, Fashion Illustration or comparable background.
