CJA 121◊ Introduction to Corrections

An introductory examination of the history, development and evolution of corrections in correlation with the philosophy of punishment and treatment of offenders. Emphasis is placed on state and local practices relating to the operation and administration of secure and non-secure facilities. The establishment of the federal system is discussed in conjunction with the current legal issues of the Constitutional Law.IAI: CRJ 911
