Emergency Medical Technicians "EMT" are trained in basic emergency skills and rescue techniques based on the guidelines and recommendations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) National Standard Curriculum & the Illinois Department of Public Health Division of Emergency Medical Services. Upon completion, students become eligible to take the state licensure exam. A minimum grade of a B is required for licensure.
