This beginner’s yoga course is intended for those 40 and older who wish to experience the benefits yoga can provide. Through asanas (poses) and pranayama (breathing techniques), the mind will be calmed and the body toned. Props will be used, such as blocks and straps, to insure correct alignment is achieved with each asana performed by the student. Students will discover the benefits of yoga, celebrating and embracing this phase of life, bringing balance physically and spiritually. Students should wear loose clothing and bring a mat and blanket.
