This prenatal yoga course honors the changes a woman goes through during pregnancy. The gentle stretching and supported strengthening poses ease some of the discomfort of pregnancy and help to prepare the body for childbirth. A series of asanas (poses) and pranayama (breathing techniques) strengthen the body in preparation for childbirth and calm the mind. Props will be used, such as blocks and straps, to facilitate correct alignment. Students should wear loose clothing and bring a mat and blanket.
