    Dr. Leslie Ann Roberts Memorial Scholarship

    Amount varies; may be used for tuition, books and fees.

    Dr. Leslie Ann Roberts was the Dean of Arts and Sciences at Triton College when she passed away in 2009. The scholarship was created in her memory and is awarded each year to a promising African American male and female student.


    • African-American male or female student (scholarship will be awarded to one female and one male student each semester)
    • Students may be full or part-time, but must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours
    • GPA of 2.0 or above
    • New or continuing student
    • Applicants will be asked to complete an interview process with the selection committee members to discuss their aspirations and college expectations
    • Complete the Triton College application form below and detail in their essay their college and career goals
    • Students in developmental courses must complete them in a timely manner
    • Students testing into two or more developmental classes must take COL 101 in the first or second semester
    • Students will be required to meet with an assigned committee member who will mentor the student to help ensure they reach their educational goals
    • High School students must provide a copy of their high school transcript with the application
    • Scholarship is renewable each semester if the student is enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and a minimum GPA of 2.0
