BACKGROUND:
The Eugenia Pawlik Zeitlin Future Teachers Scholarship was created in 1989 and named for the wife of Triton College’s first president, Herbert Zeitlin. Mrs. Zeitlin was a teacher and librarian for many years. She was named in the “Who’s Who in Polish America” first edition in 1996.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Part-time or full-time student
- Must have at least a G.P.A. of 2.00 in your senior year of high school or at Triton College
- Must come from a family of two or more children (detail in essay)
- Must select "Teaching" as a major
- Must live in either Melrose Park, River Forest, or River Grove
- Recipient must be prepared to send a statement of accomplishments at Triton College to Mrs. Zeitlin at the end of the semester
