    Triton College Faculty Association - John Boyle Memorial Scholarship

    SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT: 
    Up to $500 for tuition and books

    BACKGROUND: 
    The John Boyle Memorial Scholarship was established by the Faculty Association in 1994 and is funded annually through the generous support of the Cook County College Teachers Union Local #1600. It is named in honor of former Triton College Faculty member, John Boyle, who taught English and developmental reading for 24 years. During his tenure at Triton Boyle served as the president of the Triton College Faculty Association.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must be a full-time continuing student
    • GPA of 3.0 or above
    • Applicants must have completed at least 6 credit hours in developmental education in English and or Math
    • The application essay should introduce the applicant to the selection committee: include personal/professional background information, major course of study, and educational goals, and explain how the scholarship funds will assist the applicant in achieving their goals.
    • The application must include a letter of recommendation by a Triton College Faculty member

    DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: 
    Posted yearly by the Faculty Association usually in March with a beginning April Deadline date
