MAT 111- College Algebra/Trig
If you scored a"6" on the placement test or a 23 on the ACT or if you completed MAT 085 with a "B" or better and if you are at college level in reading and writing , you may take this class. It is a 5 credit class covering the equivalent of a full semester of standard college as well as a full semester of trigonometry. It is the equivalent of MAT 110 and MAT 114 so the pace is very fast.

This class is widely transferable state-wide but does not meet the mathematics requirement for Triton's AA and AS degrees. Check with your counselor to be sure.

This course is a prerequisite for the calculus sequence, starting with MAT 131.
