Phase II Pavement Replacement Starts March 3

Triton College is nearing the start of the second phase of a multi-year asphalt pavement replacement project on the west campus.

This phase will be broken up into 4 parts. This 2nd phase includes the re-pavement of the North Lot 6, the Circle Drive in front of the A Building, the South Lot 1, Veterans Street, and South Interior Road. In addition, this project includes the replacement of all the concrete walkways in the courtyard.

PART 1 - Monday, March 3, 2014 – Tuesday, July 1, 2014

This part involves the complete replacement of the parking lot in the North Lot 6.
There will be NO access to the north parking lot 6 during this part of the project. The Palmer Street entrance will remain open during the entire project.

The north entrance will also be open during the entire project; however, we encourage staff and students to use the south entrance during this time as we are anticipating construction traffic.

PART 2 - Sunday, May 25, 2014 – Thursday, July 10, 2014

This part involves the complete replacement of the Circle Drive in front of the A Building and Veterans Street.

Road and Lot Closure

There will be NO access to the Circle Drive or the Visitor Lot, or Veterans Drive during this part of the project. The South Hemingway Entrance will be open during the entire project.

Bus Routes

The Pace Bus drop-off/pickup location at the front of the B Building will be relocated to the front of the I Building (Cernan Center) during this part of the project.

PART 3 - Sunday, June 1, 2014 – Friday, August 15, 2014

This part involves the replacement of all the concrete walkways in the Quad/Mounds area.
This area will be closed during this period. All sidewalks surrounding the mounds will be open for use.

PART 4 - Thursday, July 10, 2014 – Friday, October 31, 2014

This part involves the complete replacement of the parking lot in the South Lot 1 and South Interior Road.

Road and Lot Closure

There will be NO access to the South parking Lot 1 or South Interior Road during this part of the project.

We appreciate your patience as we continue to enhance our campus for the safety of our students and the
