Celebrate Black History Month with Community Events at Triton College

Community members are invited to attend a series of events on Triton College’s campus during Black History Month that will pay tribute to the accomplishments of African-Americans, as well as shed light on the myriad of issues they face today. 

The theme of Black History Month 2017 at Triton College is ‘Traditions of Excellence in the African-American Community.’ 

All events are open to the community.

Milestones of African-American Athletes
Monday, Feb. 13, 11 a.m., Triton College Library (A Building) – FREE


Join Triton College sociology faculty member Victor McCullum for a discussion on the role sports plays in social activism. Hospitality students present an opportunity for guests to relish in soul food cuisine. The Triton College Diversity Affairs Functional Committee presents an opportunity for students to express themselves and win some awesome Triton College prizes.
