Triton to Host ‘Tech Savvy’ Conference March 25

Girls in grades from sixth to ninth can take part in a daylong conference at Triton College that will redefine how they see engineering.

Tech Savvy is designed to attract girls into the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) fields, while also inviting parents, mentors and teachers currently teaching and/or working in the field to learn about new developments in STEM education and careers and how they can further support girls’ interest and success in STEM.

The conference will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, in the Robert M. Collins Center on Triton’s campus.

The cost is $10 per person (for girls and adults) and includes lunch. Each attending girl will receive a T-shirt. To register or for more information, visit http://www.aauw.org/what-we-do/stem-education/tech-savvy.
