Triton’s Annual ‘Fun Family Fitness Day’ Features Activities and Resources - May 13
Children and adults of
all ages can dance, run and play their way to a healthier lifestyle during
Triton College’s second-annual Fun Family Fitness Day on Saturday, May 13. Families
throughout our communities are invited to check out the FREE EVENT filled
with activities, healthy snacks and information that will inspire you to set
and keep your fitness goals on track.
The event runs from 10
a.m.-noon at Triton’s Robert Collins Center (R Building), located on the east
side of campus, 2000 Fifth Ave., River Grove, Ill.
New this year, healthy cooking demonstrations will help you
find the right ingredients to create delicious meals for your family that will
have them asking for seconds. Additionally, faculty and students from Triton’s
Nursing Program will be on hand to perform free blood pressure screenings and
provide other information and resources.
Back by popular demand,
our Zumba class will show how much fun it is to get a great cardio workout in
as you move and groove to a high energy mix of hip-hop, samba, salsa and
Feel like a star as you
earn your ribbon for crossing the finish line during the ‘Fun Run’ that will be
held on the outdoor running track of our multi-purpose field.
While you’re there,
sign the kids up for one of Triton’s youth sports camps that will keep them
moving all summer long.
