    Learning Communities Banner The Learning Community courses are taught by a team of faculty members and include specialized counseling opportunities, mentoring and tutor support that create the ideal environment for academic success. Through interactive sessions and hands-on experiences, you’ll learn to make critical connections between the content taught in both courses.

    MAKING WORDS WORK: STRATEGIES FOR READING & WRITING SUCCESS

    If you placed into RHT 086 and RHT 096, why not make the best use of your time and money by learning the two together? Courses are taught back-to-back by the same instructor using the same text.     Requires successful completion of RHT 085 or RHT 095 with a C or better or COMPASS writing placement test score of 67-82 and a reading score of 50 - 69 within the last year.

    •You must follow normal registration procedures, meet the course prerequisites, and register for all classes in a learning community.
    • You cannot withdraw from just one of the classes, you must withdraw from all linked classes.
    • Separate grades are given for each class.
