    The committee selected Sun, Stone, and Shadows edited by Jorge F. Hernandez for the 2009-2010 One Book One Triton common read experience. The book features a collection of Hispanic short stories that offer a variety of reading opportunities. The focus will be on the campuswide initiatives as well as events going on throughout the community during Hispanic Heritage Month.

    Of Beetles and Angels: A Boy's Remarkable Journey From a Refugee Camp to Harvard, is a powerful book that will be featured as the common read during the Black History celebrations. The book is about a young man's journey as a refugee to his Harvard graduation. His personal insight is both uplifting and motivating.
