Writing Across the Curriculum Center
The Writing Across the Curriculum Center is designed to help students improve their writing skills. The tutors can help students with all phases of paper writing: generating a topic, creating a strong thesis statement, organizing the paper into paragraphs, and revising the paper into a final product.
The WACC tutors
will not
proofread or edit a paper for a student. Tutors, however, can help students learn how to proofread and edit their own work.
Students can come in with a handwritten copy, a printed copy of the paper or a copy on disk. The computers in the center are for students to use when working with a tutor. The center's tutors are eager to begin working with students of the targeted classes and levels. Come in, make an appointment, and start writing better today!
Hours
Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Friday • 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Saturday • 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday • Noon to 4 p.m.
Location
The WACC is located on the lower level of the Learning Resource Center in Room R-102. Students can walk in for a meeting, but it would be best to make an appointment by calling Ext. 3568.
