Emergency Response Guide
Duties of the Administrator-in-Charge
In the event of a disaster or potentially dangerous situation, the Administrator-in-Charge shall assemble a response team to govern the movements of students and staff. Disaster or dangerous situations shall include, but are not limited to the following: • Tornado/ High Winds • School Violence • Explosion/Air Crash • Fire • Lighting Storms • Power Failure • Bomb Threats / Found Device • Internal Gas Leaks • Campus Evacuation • Utility Complaints
The Administrator-in-Charge shall have the authority to make decision that help mitigate and manage the emergency situation and, additionally, shall have authority to execute the following for more serious incidents: • Evacuate buildings and affected areas • Evacuate campus (only with approval from the President, VP of Business Services or VP of Academic Affairs) • Close & Open campus (only with approval from the President, VP of Business Services or VP of Academic Affairs) • Authorize overtime as needed
