Courses
The Counseling Department at Triton offers various courses that will help you get started at Triton. All classes can be used as elective credit toward your degree, and can be transferred to a four-year college.
CSG 150 Career/Life Planning
If you have an interest in exploring your career options, sign up for career/life planning. CSG 150 is a one credit hour seven week course. Students complete personality assessments to determine career fields and majors that are most suitable for their personality type. Available online and in a tradtional classroom format. (This class may be used an elective to complete your degree program)

CSG 296 Special Topics in Counseling
Selected topics in the areas of counseling may vary from semester to semester and information will be available during registration. This course may be repeated a maximum of four times when topics are different. This course can be used as an elective towards graduation.
COL 101 Introduction to College
This course helps prepare you for the college experience. You can use the one credit hour as elective credit to be applied toward graduation.
COL 102 Being Successful in College
This course helps prepare students to be successful in college. In this class you will:
understand how differently we all learn; and how to make the best use of your personal learning style
understand what your professors expect of you; and how to establish a constructive relationship with them
develop strong study skills in the areas of note taking, reading your textbook and test taking
learn to manage your time and set priorities and goals learn how to use the computerized library
COL 102 is a three credit hour course.
