The Early Alert System (E.A.S.) is a college-wide, web-based retention tool designed to improve persistence and promote student success on campus. This system allows faculty members to refer students who may be experiencing academic or personal difficulties to support staff who will assist in connecting these students to College resources. Support staff includes the Counseling Department, Financial Aid, Academic Success Center and the Center for Access and Accommodative Services. Additionally, the Early Alert System can be used to update students on their academic progress and direct them to available resources throughout the semester. Through utilization of the Early Alert System, faculty and staff will contribute to the early detection and intervention necessary to a student’s successful academic performance in college.
