Visual, Performing and Communications Arts Alumni Reconnect with Fellow Alumni and their Alma Mater

Triton College alumni of the Visual, Performing and Communication Arts Department returned to their alma mater April 5 to celebrate all of its graduates. Alumni of graphic design, photography, mass communication, art and other arts programs, from the 1970's to recent years, received the opportunity to reconnect with old friends and faculty and see the campus after many years.

"This is a celebration of all the alumni and their accomplishments in their years at Triton and beyond," said Dean of Arts and Sciences Jonathan Paver. "This event is also a showcase of the quality and the efforts of our faculty in the Visual, Performing and Communication Department."

Triton College President Dr. Patricia Granados welcomed the alumni back to Triton. "I have heard some great stories about your time here at Triton College and your achievements after leaving. I'm happy to see so many of you back at Triton. We hope you reconnect with us and your colleagues and continue to return to Triton as alumni."

Current Triton students in Seth McClellan's film class participated by taking footage of the event and asking alumni to share Triton memories.

"I remember my journalism professor, Arnold Wolf, as a very influential person in my educational career," said 1982 graduate Craig Wall. "I really enjoyed writing for the Trident and many of the other activities I volunteered for."

"I greatly value the education I got from Triton," said 1981 graduate James Tybon. "I liked it so much I sent my son, Phil, here and he plans on pursuing his bachelor's degree when he leaves here. It's great to be back at Triton and see how things have changed over the years."
