Academic Senate The Academic Senate Statement of Purpose The Triton College Academic Senate is a collegial body established by the Faculty Association, the administration and the Board as the academic committee system of the Faculty Association. It also encompasses other elements of the college in order to promote widespread input into academic decisions. The Senate is concerned with building consensus on those issues which relate to teaching, learning, and professional body that reports directly to the College President. When appropriate, the decisions of the Senate are presented to the Vice Presidents as well as to the President. The Senate committees - Academic Development, Academic Support, Assessment, Academic and Scholastic Standards, Curriculum, Student Development and Professional Development.
