Salute to the Arts
Poetry Contest: Ariel

Triton College, River Grove, Ill., has supported the Ariel Poetry and Graphics Contest since 1970. We proudly continue that tradition with the annual announcement of contest guidelines and three new themes that act as the focus of an international poetry competition and local graphics competition. Winners are announced at an annual public reading presented by an Illinois poet who judges the poetry entries. Past poets/judges included Gwendolyn Brooks and Donald Hall.

A celebration luncheon is held in honor of the winners, and in addition, winning entries are included in Triton's annual arts journal, Ariel. Triton solicits contest entries from the public at large, its own students and from students in all of the district high schools. We invite you to join the tradition, and submit your own entry to the contest.

This program is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council, a state agency.
