Nuevos Horizontes Tutoring in Spanish Literacy, English and Math The Access to Literacy Program is designed for adults who wish to learn, read or develop their reading/writing skills. Four different types of instruction are offered:
All services are free. Three levels of literacy classes are offered. All one-to-one and small-group tutoring is done by trained volunteer tutors who are required to complete 14 hours of literacy instruction at Triton. In addition to the initial training, tutors are encouraged to attend a two-hour in-service training session offered every two months throughout the year.
