Learn and Serve with the VITA Program
Learn how to fill out all the basic tax forms by attending free, bilingual (Spanish-English) income tax preparation classes. The classes start in January and meet twice a week in the evening for five weeks and one Saturday morning. Program prerequisites:
  1. You need to be available to volunteer two days a week for at least two hours each day during the whole income tax season (February through April).
  2. Serve your community by volunteering your time.

Class registration takes place during December. Please call Nuevos Horizontes at (708) 649-2100.

VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) Program
Free assistance is available to taxpayers who cannot afford professional tax help, particularly those with low income. If you need help to fill your income tax forms, VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) will help you. Volunteers trained by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) are available at Nuevos Horizontes during the tax season.

FREE Legal Advice
Bilingual (English/Spanish) attorneys are available at Nuevos Horizontes once a month to provide free legal advice. Call Nuevos Horizontes at (708) 649-2100 to schedule an appointment.
