Principles of physics designed to provide students with a mathematically based (non-calculus) understanding of electricity, magnetism, optics and modern physics, including electric and magnetic fields, Direct Current (DC) and Alternating Current (AC) circuits, geometrical and wave optics, polarization, and an introduction to relativity and quantum mechanics.

Prerequisite: PHY 101◊ (minimum grade "C") and placement at RHT 101◊ level

Lecture: 3 hours

Laboratory: 4 hours
