Late Goal Propels Men's Soccer over DuPage

    The Triton men's soccer team took every best shot thrown at them in their 2013 opener Aug. 24 at College DuPage. Behind the superior goalkeeping of sophomore Mateusz Nosek, the Trojans found the back of net late to earn a 1-0 road victory. Nosek (Steinmetz) single-handedly kept Triton in a scoreless deadlock by recording 15 saves. The Trojans who are ranked 9th in the NJCAA Division III preseason poll broke through in the 85th minute when John Roder assisted Ruben Chavez' goal for the only tally of the match.
