The Triton College Athletics Department re-launched the intercollegiate men's track and field program in the spring of 2014.
Freshmen and team captain, Pawel Mika, pictured on the right, competing against 4 year NCAA colleges in the Margaret Bradley Invitational at the University of Chicago.
Mika, who is only 5'7, and the shortest competitor in the field, placed 6th in the long jump and 6th in the triple jump. The men's side placed 7th out of 11 teams. Mika also holds at 3.4 GPA in the classroom.
The Track & Field program made its return after a 20-year absence. Triton competed in men's track and field from 1969-94 before announcing the return of the program in July of 2013. Men's Track and Field will compete at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division III level.
