Lady Trojans Third Annual Breast Cancer Fundraiser
For the third straight year, the Triton College volleyball team did its part in the fight against breast cancer during its Tri-Match against Morton College and Milwaukee Area Technical College on Saturday, Oct. 5, in the Robert M. Collins Center Gymnasium.
The Lady Trojans are one of thousands of teams that participated in the Dig Pink® National Breast Cancer Awareness Rally to promote breast cancer health education as well as raise funds to help eradicate this disease. All proceeds raised benefited The Side-Out Foundation, a national 501(c) (3) non-profit organization which supports health care professionals in their pursuit of practical solutions for women and men diagnosed with breast cancer.
Last year's event garnered $1,547 for The Side-Out Foundation. The team’s fundraising efforts were the fourth highest dollar amount among any Illinois college or university that held an event supporting the foundation.
