2015-16 Region IV Division II District D Runner-Up!

The Triton College women's basketball program competes at the NJCAA Division II level. The team has recorded several winning seasons over it's 30+ year history. In addition, the program has produced numerous all-conference and all-region selections.

The 2015-16 season, was a turnaround year under the leadership of first-year head coach Kellee Robertson as the Lady Trojans finished 23-10 en route to the programs first regional championship game appearance in 22 years! Robertson was unanimously votes as North Central Community College Conference (N4C) Coach of the Year!

Other accomplishments from last season included: Alondra Charvarria (West Leyden) being selected team MVP and was voted as 2015-16 Triton College Female Athlete of the Year. Charvarria was also a second-team All Region IV selection and broke the single-season steals record with 149 takeaways! Coleanna Funches (Proviso West) was named first-team All-N4C conference and first-team All-Region IV. Funches broke the single-season total rebound record with 429 boards. Center Taylor Pate (Proviso West) smashed the single-season block shot record 129 rejections. She also broke the single-game blocks record with 11 vs. Morton College! Tashianna Walton (Proviso West) was a second-team All N4C conference selection. 2014-15 Triton Female Athlete of the Year, Candace Madison (Proviso West) ended her Lady Trojan career with 980 points, third most in Triton College women's basketball history!

The 2016-17 will be an exciting one as the program looks to build on last years success. The team has already signed many new players and will face a more challenging schedule next season as new non-conference opponents include national powers Kirkwood Community College and Parkland College. Triton has also added games with Lakeland College (IL), Highland (IL) and Southeastern (IA). The Lady Trojans will have traditional match-ups with District D rivals: Kankakee Community College, South Suburban College and Moraine Valley Community College. Plus the Lady Trojans will be tested once again with N4C conference rivals Rock Valley College, Madison College, Milwaukee Tech and Joliet Junior College to highlight a difficult 2016-17 schedule.
