Varnishes have played a very important role in a painter’s world which has allowed famous paintings like the Mona Lisa to maintain its original appearance but with the unfortunate side effect of discoloration. Through time, these once luminous art pieces have fallen victims of photodegradation and have significantly lost the brightness they once held. Come hear our investigation into different chemical varnishes and how light sources affect their degradation. Presenters are two Triton Students: Dominik Marek Radzik and Alondra Montenegro
