Student Parent Learn Together Program - NEW!

Triton College is proud to offer its new Student-Parent Program!

Triton College is offering an educational space for credit seeking students who may have childcare challenges. Parents have the opportunity to enroll their children in fun and educational activities while they focus on completing classes toward their degree and/or certificate. The classes for children will be offered on campus and some even offer an online learning option. Qualified participants may receive coverage for the program cost under the CARES Act and other grant opportunities.

About our Youth Classes:

  • Ages are: 8-16.
  • Running time: up to 1 hour each class
  • Classes are tutor or instructor lead.
  • We also have a list of online options for your young adult – contact us

Youth In-person Programs Fall 2020

Junior Artist

Are you a budding Picasso or just want to express yourself creatively? In Art Camp, you'll be able to do that using one or more of several media-drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, or a combination. Let you inner artist out and share your work with other young artists.

Halloween Mask Creators

Come and design your own fun, creative Halloween Masks. Start with a blank canvas, then cut out openings for your eyes, nose and mouth (or not). Next let your imagination takeover. This is a course that parents can enjoy with their children.

Last Minute Halloween Costume

Don’t spend a ton of money on a Halloween costume this year. Cardboard, tape, sheets, gloves, an old dusty hat and scarves are probably in your home somewhere. Repurpose these materials and anything else you can think of to make your own Halloween costume.

Scratch Programming

Young students will learn how to create computer animations and games using Scratch, a programming language from MIT. Fundamental programming concepts, through making and importing objects, creating audio recordings, and using them to build and play computer games or music videos.

Introduction to PC Troubleshooting

Creating Web Pages

Create and post your very own Website on the Internet in this extensive, hands-on workshop. First, you'll learn about the capabilities of the World Wide Web and the fundamentals of Web design. Then, with your instructor's patient guidance, you'll plan the content, structure and layout of your Web site, create pages full of neatly formatted text, build links between the pages and to the outside world, and add color, backgrounds, graphics, tables, hot buttons, and animation.
