What is the GADgET Girls Program?
GADgET (Girls Adventuring in Design, Engineering and Technology) is a summer program funded by a grant from the Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs Foundation of FMA (Fabricator Manufactures Association) designed to introduce female youth between the ages of 10 and 14 to the world of manufacturing through hands-on projects and site visits to manufacturing facilities. CAD, entrepreneurship skills, academic requirements for 21st century manufacturing careers, as well as teamwork skills are covered.

    Overall Learning Goals:
To create an interactive, problem-solving environment where students can learn and share opportunities in the field of manufacturing. Through this experience we intend to provide youth with the necessary knowledge needed to develop and achieve their dreams through the world of manufacturing, including what it takes to start and run their own enterprise.
