Employment of human resources specialists is projected to grow 5% from 2018 to 2028, about as fast as the average for all occupations. Human resources specialists will be needed to handle increasingly complex employment laws and healthcare coverage options. Most growth is projected to be in the professional, scientific, and technical services industry. The median annual wage for training and development specialists was $60,870 in May 2018. Employment of training and development specialists is projected to grow 9% from 2018 to 2028, faster than the average for all occupations. Job prospects should be best for those with experience developing online and mobile training programs. Bachelor's degree candidates in human resource management earned a median annual wage of $113,300 in May 2018. Employment of human resource managers is expected to grow by 7% between 2018 and 2028, which is faster than average. As new companies form and organizations expand their operations, they will need human resources managers to oversee and administer their programs and to ensure that firms adhere to changing and complex employment laws. Strong competition can be expected for most positions.
