Skill Enhancement and Employee Development (SEED)

Skill Enhancement and Employee Development (S.E.E.D.) program provides neurodivergent individuals the opportunity to earn a certificate through the School of Continuing Education. Through in-person instruction, hands-on activities and employment experiences that are designed to enhance employability skills, individuals are prepared for independent, competitive employment in the community.

Individuals must not be receiving any services or participating in any programming at the high school level. If an individual has needed or used a 1:1 aide they are not a suitable candidate for this program.

The January 2024 offering is grant funded and offered at no cost to participants.

Students receive classroom instruction to increase the following skills related to the workplace setting:

  • Job Expectations
  • Financial Management
  • Teamwork
  • Social Communication
  • Job Accommodations
  • Self-Advocacy
  • Co-worker Relationships
  • Coping Skills
  • Dependability
  • Interviewing Skills
  • Problem-Solving
  • Resume Writing
  • Professionalism
  • Cover Letters
