Background

I became an Adjunct Faculty member in March of 2002. I have been the Coordinator of the Emergency Medical Technology program, since August 2003. I developed and am the Coordinator of the Emergency Management and the Public Safety Dispatcher programs.

I have been a licensed Emergency Medical Technician-Basic since June 1997 and a licensed Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic since January 1999. I have also been a National Registered Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic since February 1999. I have also been a certified firefighter in Illinois since 2000.

I have completed an Associates of Applied Science degree in Fire Science from Triton Community College, Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Service Management from Southern Illinois University, and a Masters degree in Public Administration from University of Illinois-Springfield. 

I am a Firefighter/Paramedic for the Chicago Fire Department, and I am a part-time Firefighter/Paramedic/Fire Investigator with the River Grove Fire Department.
