What is a Feature Show?
The Feature Show planetarium experience typically starts with a prerecorded planetarium program on any one of the possible topics in the Universe: astronomy, space exploration, Earth science, any other science, history, culture, art, etc.
This is generally followed by a live tour of what is visible in the current night sky, an opportunity to ask questions, and other exciting cosmic surprises.
What is an Early Explorers Show?
Early Explorers programs are well-suited for the youngest visitors, ages 3 to 7. This engaging experience includes a prerecorded show, a brief look at the current night sky, and a fun bit at the end.
Since half the audience is usually adults, they should be prepared to participate and learn something along the way.
The Early Explorer Shows are One World One Sky, Rusty Rocket's Last Blast, and The Stellars Mission: Green in addition to being Feature Shows.
What is a Cosmic Light Show?
These purely entertainment programs use brilliant laser light to create moving and mesmerizing abstract patterns and animated artwork on the planetarium dome. Add to that giant digital effects, kaleidoscopes, projected images and the music of great artists from many genres and time periods, and you have a Cosmic Light Show.
NOTES:
- Programs may contain language and themes that may not be suitable for all viewers.
- Laser shows contain loud music and bright, flashing lights that may cause discomfort to those with light sensitivity or other health conditions or concerns.
- Please use discretion in your program selection.
