56th Annual Commencement - Class of 2022
All Aug. 2021, Dec. 2021 and May 2022 graduates will be honored at the 56th Annual Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Rosemont Theatre 5400 N. River Road in Rosemont, Illinois. Graduates need to arrive by 1 p.m. Guests must arrive by 2 p.m. Doors close at 2:30 p.m. Ceremony begins sharply at 3 p.m.

When and where do I order my cap & gown?
Caps & gowns will be available at the Follett Bookstore between Tuesday, March 29, 2022 and Friday, May 13, 2022. Bookstore hours are Monday-Thursday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m.-3 p.m. You must present a valid state ID or driver’s license. DON’T WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE! In-stock items are limited and special orders may take several weeks to arrive.
I have a Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, will I receive an honors medallion?
An Honors Medallion will be included with your cap and gown order if you meet the following Cumulative Grade Point Average requirements (the average GPA across all of your semesters at Triton College):
High Honors Gold Ribbon Medallion
Associates Degree – Cumulative GPA of 3.75 to 4.0
Honors Red Ribbon Medallion
Associates Degree – Cumulative GPA of 3.50 to 3.74
Honors Blue Ribbon Medallion
Certificate – GPA 3.50 to 4.0
How many tickets will I receive? When and where do I pick them up?
Each graduate who participates in the ceremony will be given eight (8) tickets for their family and guests. All guests ages 2yrs and older will require a ticket. Tickets will need to be picked up between Monday, May 9 and Friday, May 13 at the Follett Bookstore. Bookstore hours are Monday-Thursday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. You must present a valid state ID or driver’s license.
What time should I or my guests arrive for the ceremony?
Graduates must arrive at the theatre by 1 p.m. Guests must arrive by 2 p.m. Doors close at 2:30 p.m. Be sure to give your guests their tickets in advance. Balloons and baby strollers will not be permitted inside the theatre. Graduates will not be allowed to carry purses, bags or other personal belongings during the ceremony. Please give these items to one of your guests prior to checking in.
Do I need a Parking Pass? Where do I Park?
THEATER PARKING (Only for Triton College Graduates, Administration, Faculty and Staff)
- As parking spaces are limited at the Rosemont Theatre, each graduate is issued ONLY one parking pass to enter and park in the Rosemont Theatre parking lot.
- If possible, all graduates are encouraged to carpool.
- If you misplace your parking pass, you will be required to park in the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center parking garage located at 9600 Williams Street, down the street from the Rosemont Theatre on River Road.

Directions to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center Parking Garage from the Rosemont Theatre:
- Start out going north on River Road
- Turn left onto Williams Street
- Enter the Donald E. Stephens Parking Garage
Can I draw on or embellish my cap?
You may embellish the top of your cap as long as it is tasteful. Offensive words or images will not be permitted in the ceremony and a new cap/tassel must be purchased on-site for $10 each, cash only.
Do I have to attend the Commencement Ceremony?
While we encourage you to participate in the graduation ceremony, attendance is optional.
When will I receive my degree or certificate?
Depending on what you selected on your Application for Graduation, your diploma or certificate will either be mailed to you or ready for pick up from our Records Office, room B-220, 6-8 weeks after your last date of attendance. Graduates participating in the Commencement Ceremony will receive an empty diploma cover on stage for photo purposes.

When do I have to submit my Application for Graduation?
The Aug. 2021 Application for Graduation deadline was June 15, 2021.
The Dec. 2021 Application for Graduation deadline was Sep. 15, 2021.
The May 2022 Application for Graduation deadline was Feb. 15, 2022.
