The Triton College Men’s Basketball Team Earns Spot in the NJCAA Division I Championship Tournament

RIVER GROVE, Ill. – The Triton College men’s basketball team has earned a spot in the NJCAA Division I Championship Tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas. The Trojans (No. 15 seed) will play Columbia State Community College (No. 18 seed) from Columbia, Tennessee, in the first round on Saturday, March 22, 2:30 p.m. CST. Triton is 28-5 and Columbia State Community College is 27-4.

The game will be streamed live on ESPN+.

The Trojans impressive season winning the Region 4 Championship and being ranked in the top 10 nationally for most of the season, earned them one of the eight at-large bids to the 24-team tournament.  

In their previous two trips to the national tournament, Triton has had an impressive 6-2 record, making it to the Final Four in 2022 and finishing as National Runners-up last season.
